Alyssa: Beyond Bank’s Volunteer of the Month for December.
Alyssa is in her second year as the Women’s Coordinator at Newcastle City, and in that short time, she has proven to be an invaluable member of the club. Despite her young age, Alyssa stepped up to take on this important role, and her contributions have made a significant impact on both the Women’s Cup and Women’s Plate teams.
Her dedication to the role goes far beyond simple coordination. Alyssa attends NDCA meetings as part of the NDCA Women’s Advisory Committee, participates in club committee discussions, and manages the many details that ensure both teams run smoothly. From overseeing the group chat and managing uniform distribution to tracking training attendance and helping select teams each week, Alyssa keeps everything organized and on track.
In addition to her coordination duties, Alyssa also captains and manages the Women’s Plate team. She brings strong leadership and a positive attitude to the team, making every training session and match enjoyable. One of Alyssa’s greatest strengths is her ability to welcome players of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. She fosters an inclusive and supportive environment where every player can thrive, ensuring that women’s cricket will continue to grow and flourish at Newcastle City.
Alyssa’s hard work, commitment, and leadership have not gone unnoticed. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, she has been named Beyond Bank’s Volunteer of the Month for December. This is a well-deserved acknowledgment of her tireless efforts to support and develop women’s cricket at the club.
The club is fortunate to have someone as dedicated as Alyssa, and we look forward to seeing the continued success of the Newcastle City Women’s Cricket program under her leadership. Congratulations, Alyssa, and thank you for everything you do!
