Greg Hook (aka Hooky) is not just a volunteer at Newcastle City Sabres, he is a club legend! For over 35 years Hooky has been a mainstay of the club as a player, committee member and all-round supporter.

Nothing is too large or small for Hooky to take on – from organising and distributing the playing kit each year, helping to manage finances, being a selector, scoring, mentoring young players or helping out by stocking the canteen. This week he was spreading wicket soil! Clubs don’t thrive or even exist without the Hookys of the world!
