Kade Sutton
Kade Sutton is a Charlestown local and a proud product of the Charlestown Junior Cricket Club, where he first made his mark as a talented leg-spin bowler. Debuting for Charlestown District Cricket Club at just 13 years of age, Kade progressed through every grade of the club, culminating in selection in CDCC’s 2023/24 First Grade Premiership-winning side.
A dedicated junior representative for Newcastle Cricket Zone and a member of the Cricket NSW Pathway Squad, Kade’s playing career was brought to an unexpected end following a life-changing medical event while training in the program in 2024. Now medically retired, he has redirected his passion for the game into meaningful off-field roles.
Kade is currently studying a Bachelor of Media & Communications at the University of Newcastle and has established himself in cricket commentary with both Charlestown District Cricket Club and the Newcastle District Cricket Association. He is also the creator and host of On the Pulse with Kade Sutton, a podcast that explores the stories and personalities that shape the local cricket community.
