Congratulations Dave Keast
The Newcastle District Cricket Association is proud to congratulate Dave Keast of Belmont District Cricket Club on being named Beyond Bank Volunteer of the Month for November.
Volunteers are the backbone of community cricket, and Dave exemplifies everything that makes our clubs strong, welcoming, and successful. His tireless commitment and willingness to step up wherever help is needed has made a lasting impact at Belmont District Cricket Club and across the competition.
Dave serves as Chairman of Selectors, is a valued member of the club committee, and can regularly be found pulling the boots on whenever a team is short – no matter the grade. Off the field, his dedication is just as strong. From organising post-match BBQs for players, to helping put covers on every Friday and being first on the ground Saturday morning to remove them, Dave consistently leads by example.
What truly sets Dave apart is his attitude. He will always put his hand up if the club or an individual needs help with anything. Every club needs someone who is there for the right reasons, and Belmont District Cricket Club has that person in Dave.
The NDCA would also like to sincerely thank Beyond Bank for their continued support of community cricket and for recognising the invaluable contribution of volunteers each month. This initiative shines a well-deserved spotlight on the people who generously give their time and energy to keep our game thriving.
Congratulations once again to Dave Keast on this well-earned recognition, and thank you for everything you do for cricket.
